Independent Learning Centre's Ask a Teacher
Ask a Teacher is a free chat room service available Sunday-Thursday from 5:30-9:30 that lets high school students chat one-on-one with teachers and uses a virtual whiteboard for graphics and diagrams. Very very cool.

Virtual Reference Library
Internet sites selected by Toronto Public Library staff. Check out NewsConnect Š a great link to reading and researching news from around the world. Science Net is worth checking out as well.

An amazing site! Links are organized by school subject area.

B.J. PinchbeckÕs Homework Helpers
Discovery Channel's great site for research with an American outlook. Cool links include Science Fair Central and Puzzlemaker.

Multnomah County Homework Helper
Another mega homework site. This one is easy to use and very extensive! Check out their Wars and World History category. Lots of Canadian content.

Canadian Points of View
This full-text database is designed to provide students with a series of essays that present multiple sides of a current issue. The database provides information on 100 key topics of interest to Canadian researchers, with an overview (objective background/description), point (argument), counterpoint (opposing argument), and Critical Thinking Guide. Topics include the environment, human rights, race, substance abuse and many more.
