Junior high is about to start and Madison wakes up to the sound of a phone call from the jail house. Someone has been accused of murdering Madison’s second grade teacher. When she shows up to school the next day her best friend Ann is missing and she has soccer tryouts which Ann never misses. Something is really weird, so she gets a new friend Jake and starts to investigate. She finds out the mystery of her best friend when she finds her at her soccer game against a different school. Later she finds out that her parents are getting divorced when her and her dad go to Europe and her dad ends up staying there. This book was very mysterious and I liked it a lot.
